Rashtriya Military Schools were established as King George's Royal Indian Military schools to take care of the education of the sons of defence personnel. In 1952, the schools were recognized on Public School lines and admissions were made open to the sons of defence service officers and civilians. There are 5 military schools in India.

AISSEE 2022 Details :
Exam Date : 09th January, 2022

Eligibility : A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2022 for admission to Class VI, i.e. he/she should have been born between 01 April 2010 and 31 March 2012 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2022-23.
Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. Age criteria is same as boys. Candidates are advised to check the availability of seats for girls from Appendix VI carefully.
A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2022, for admission to Class IX, i.e. he/ she should have been born between 01 April 2007 and 31 March 2009 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2022-23. Admission to Class IX is not open for girls.

Syllabus : Written test will generally be of Class V standard for Class VI admission and Class VIII standard for Class IX admission. Medium of Question Paper in Entrance exam is bilingual (English and Hindi both) for Class VI and only in English for Class IX.
Age Limit & Reservation Policy
Boys looking for Sainik School Coaching to take admission must know about the age limit in Rashtriya Military School, it between 10 to 12 years old for Class VI, and boys between 13 to 15 years old for Class IX as on are qualified for confirmation. A half-year (6 months) unwinding in the upper age limit is allowable for the wards of personnel killed in action.

70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy, and AF (counting Ex-servicemen). 30% for wards of Officers of Army, Navy, and AF (counting resigned Officers) and wards of civilians. 50 seats are held forwards of personnel Killed in Action. Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are saved for SC and ST in all classifications.
